MOSCOW: Ukrainian forces have entered 30 km inside Russia’s Kursk, in one of the most poignant incidents after Russia’s offensive against Ukraine in 2022. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, clashes with the Ukrainian army are continuing near the villages of Tolpino and Obshchy Kolodez.
In response to the lightning attack, Russia launched missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv on Sunday morning. Ukraine's military claims to have taken control of parts of Kursk, a claim denied by Russia. Russia presaging an attack had evacuated more than 76,000 people from Kursk on Saturday.
Footages are also going viral showing Ukrainian forces seizing control over administrative buildings in Sverdlikovo and Poroz.
