THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala will continue to receive rain for five more days. Following the rain warning, the IMD has issued orange and yellow alerts in various districts for the coming days. Isolated places are likely to receive heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds gusting up to a speed of 30 to 40 kmph till August 20. An orange alert has been sounded in Pathanamthitta tomorrow.

Isolated places in these districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall is defined by the IMD as rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm in 24 hours. Thunderstorms are expected.
