SHIRUR: The search to find Kozhikode native Arjun, who went missing in the landslide in Shirur in Karnataka, has been temporarily suspended. The search will resume only after the arrival of the dredging machine. This means that the efforts to find Arjun will get delayed as the dredging machine will be delivered to the spot only after a week.

Meanwhile, a rope and metal parts were found during the search conducted in the Gangavali River. Lorry owner Manaf confirmed that the rope belonged to the lorry driven by Arjun. The 50-metre-long rope was found by the team led by diver Eshwar Malpe. However, the body parts found during the search did not belong to the lorry driven by Arjun. District Collector Lakshmipriya, who is coordinating the rescue mission, stated that crucial evidence was found in the search for Arjun. According to her, the discovery of the rope has provided conclusive evidence that Arjun's lorry is indeed submerged in the river.

Arjun, a native of Kannadikkal in Kozhikode, went missing in a landslide in Shirur on July 16. Apart from Arjun, Lokesh and Jagannath, natives of Karnataka, are also to be found.
