KOZHIKODE: DYFI leader Ribesh Ramakrishnan has sent a legal notice to Muslim League leader Parakkal Abdulla over the "Kafir screenshot" that circulated in Vadakara constituency during the Lok Sabha elections. Ribesh has sent a legal notice against the Muslim League state secretary for spreading false propaganda against him.
In the notice, Ribesh alleged that Parakkal Abdulla tried to portray him as someone who was working in a manner that fostered religious rivalry. Ribesh demanded in the notice that Abdulla publicly express his regret and publish it too and stated that he is a person who has nothing to do with the Kafir controversy.
"Many people are looking at me with suspicion because of Abdulla's fake campaign. He should publicly apologize within three days of the notice or else legal action will be taken," Ribesh said.
Parakkal Abdulla has also reacted to the incident. Abdulla responded that only the information in the police affidavit filed in the High Court has come out and if Ribesh feels that it is false, then the lawyer should send a notice to the Home Minister and the investigating officers.
