garbage-sack

PERUMBAVOOR: A Vengola native Anoop's overenthusiasm has landed him in trouble. The incident started yesterday afternoon. Anoop arrived at the panchayat office compound in an auto with two sacks of garbage that was lying near his house. When Anoop entered the office with the sacks, the staff got worried. They wondered what would be the next move of Anoop, who is known as a litigant who asks for documents under RTI.

"Didn't everyone get their salary? Now put up with the stench of this waste," Anoop said. Anoop's act was alleging that Haritha Karma Sena dumped the garbage of Vengola panchayat in his house premises. Anoop left the place, threatening that if garbage is dumped near his house, it will be delivered to the houses of the panchayat authorities.

Panchayat Secretary Muhammad Hashim informed the Perumbavoor police station about the incident. When the police arrived and opened the sack, they found the remains of a demolished house. A label of Kadanad Panchayat near Kottayam Pala was also found. When the panchayat authorities were contacted, it was confirmed that sacks were being taken to the Clean Kerala company yard in a lorry. It was also found that the sack had fallen from the lorry when it reached the premises of Anoop's house. The police removed the sack themselves.
Police have registered a case against Anoop for obstructing Panchayat office work.
