THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A major turning point in the missing case of Jasna James, a BCom student of St Dominic College in Kanjirapally. A former employee of a lodge revealed to a private channel that a girl resembling Jasna was seen where she was working in Mundakayam days before she went missing. She also said that a youth was with the girl.
‘Recognized Jasna from the picture published in the newspaper. Saw her at 11.30 am. She was slim and fair. Her hair was tied up. She was wearing a rose colored churidar. She said that she came to write a test and was waiting for her friend. A strange youth came in the afternoon and took a room. Both left the room at 4 pm. Their room number was 102. The youth was also fair and slim,' said the former employee. She also said that the CBI had not questioned her about this.
Jasna's CCTV footage was obtained from near the lodge where the ex-employee was working. She said that when the news that Jasna was missing came in the newspaper with her picture, she asked the lodge owner if she was the girl who was here that day, the owner asked her to keep mum. However, she said that she had passed the information to some policemen she knew.
Thiruvananthapuram CJM Court had announced further investigation on the petition filed earlier by Jasna’s father James. The further investigation was ordered after considering the plea filed by her father and requesting to continue the investigation by rejecting the report submitted to the CBI court stating that the investigation is being ended.
Jasna’s father had produced the evidence, documents and digital evidence including photographs found in his personal investigation in a sealed envelope. Further investigation was announced after verifying whether this is a matter under the purview of CBI investigation. Earlier, the CBI team had presented the case diary to the court. Jasna's father levelled several allegations, including that the police officers who recovered the items and documents from Jasna's house were not interrogated and that the investigation was not extended to Jasna's unknown friend. James said that he has hope in the further investigation and that the CBI will find out the truth.
