LONDON: A disturbing incident of assault on an Air India cabin crew member occurred last Thursday at the Radisson Red Hotel in Heathrow, London. An unidentified man broke into the crew member's room and brutally attacked her.

The victim's colleagues, who were staying in adjacent rooms, rushed to her aid after hearing her screams. The assailant attempted to flee but was apprehended by the hotel staff and handed over to the police.

The attack took place around 1:30 a.m. while the cabin crew member was asleep. Reports indicate that the assailant beat her with a hanger and dragged her across the floor during the assault. Air India has confirmed the incident, stating that the injured crew member received medical treatment and has since returned to India. She is also said to have undergone counseling sessions.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Air India expressed deep sorrow over the incident and emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety of its employees. The London police have registered a case and launched an investigation. It has also been reported that similar complaints have been made against this hotel in the past.
