THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are serious findings in the CPM inquiry commission's investigation against former MLA and KTDC chairman P K Sasi in connection with the party fund embezzlement case. The main reference in the investigation is that Sasi diverted lakhs from the party fund and transferred it to his own account.


It was found that Sasi transferred Rs 10 lakh from the party office construction fund and 10 lakhs from the district sammelana fund to his own account. In the investigation report, the commission criticized that Sasi's lifestyle is not that of a communist.


An investigation was conducted against Sasi following the allegation that he diverted the construction fund of Mannarkkad Area Committee office. Sasi was removed from all elective posts based on the findings of the investigation yesterday. With this, Sasi has only the primary membership of the party. A committee headed by Puthalath Dineshan conducted an inquiry into the allegation.


It is reported that the investigation has found irregularity in the appointment of Universal College headed by P K Sasi. The Mannarkkad Area Committee has been dissolved. The decision was taken by the party district secretariat meeting held yesterday in the presence of M V Govindan.
