CHENNAI: Images of the flag of actor Vijay's party Tamilaka Vetri Kazhakam (TVK) have been leaked. The pictures are being circulated on social media in the name of TVK's flag. According to reports, the pictures were leaked from a party event organized yesterday.

The flag will be officially unveiled on August 22 at Panayur, the party headquarters. Official sources say that Vijay himself will introduce the flag to the activists during the event. Vijay himself will hoist the flag on the 30 feet tall flagpole installed at the party headquarters. More than 300 activists from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Puducherry will be part of the programme. Official sources said that more than 100 media persons have also been invited.

Vijay had reached the party headquarters yesterday to assess the arrangements for the flag launching ceremony.

The flag is yellow in colour. It has a picture of Vijay in a red circle in the middle. Meanwhile, some people came forward to criticize the inclusion of Vijay's picture in the flag. Some commented that even MGR did not include his own picture in the flag. Some even accused Vijay's practice of hoisting the flag as being like a movie shoot. Meanwhile, it is reported that what is being circulated is not the image of the official flag but only the model. The first state conference of the party will be held in Vikravandi on September 22.
