THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three people who tried to attack a KSRTC driver by stopping the KSRTC bus were arrested. The incident happened in Chirayinkeezhu, Thiruvananthapuram. Sangeet from Chirayinkeezhu Erumakkavu, Krishnaprasad from Adikalam and Vishnuprasad from Nagaroor have been arrested. The assaulted KSRTC bus driver is S Jayakumar.

The incident in question happened yesterday. The attack targeted the bus of Attingal unit. The group that came in an Innova car verbally abused the KSRTC driver in front of the passengers and the lady conductor and blocked the bus for half an hour. The gang also broke the light of the bus. A team led by Chirayinkeezhu Circle Inspector VS Vineesh nabbed the accused.

Kozhikode also saw a similar attack on a KSRTC driver. A KSRTC bus driver was assaulted by a youth in Mankave, Kozhikode. The youth allegedly attacked the driver for not giving side for his car. The assaulted KSRTC driver, Subramanian of Kozhikode depot, was admitted to Beach Hospital. The youth committed the violence after stopping the KSRTC bus which was coming from Palakkad to Kozhikode.
