KOCHI: Actress and AMMA executive member Jomol said that no one from the film industry has ever misbehaved with her. Jomol was speaking at the press conference convened to inform AMMA'S response on the Hema Committee report. She said that so far, no one has knocked on her door or asked for an adjustment.
'I have been acting in films for a long time. No one has ever spoken badly. I have not faced any such incidents. No one has knocked on my door and have told me to adjust for chances in films,’ she said.
Siddique, general secretary of 'AMMA' said that they welcome the Hema committee report. Siddique said all its recommendations should be implemented. The Hema Committee report is not against AMMA. He said that they are unhappy on the findings of the media and the police should file a case against the wrongdoers and investigate.
'AMMA did not deliberately evade from responding on the issue. The delay was due to the busy schedule of the shows. The president is not in station. Time was taken to discuss with him and that we have not evaded. The findings and recommendations of the report are welcomed. It is up to the government to decide what action should be taken on the report. We also want our members to be safe at work places,’ said Siddique.
