KOZHIKODE: One after the other, many senior and junior actors are coming forward raising serious allegations against some misbehaving with them. Some junior artistes raised serious allegations against Edavela Babu, actor and former general secretary of AMMA. Junior artiste Jubitha Andy told media that Edavela Babu asked her to adjust in lieu of AMMA membership fees.

‘He asked me to adjust for the membership fee of Rs 2 lakh. He said that if she adjusted, she need not pay the amount and will get film offers also. If adjusted, will reach the top. Had a bad experience from Harikumar and Sudheesh. After completing Harikumar’s film, he asked me to come the next day. However, I refused to go. Sudheesh asked her to accompany him for a trip. Any location we go, will ask us to adjust. Don’t need chances by adjusting, no chances now,’ she clarified.

Junior artist Asnia said they are the most exploited category in the film industry. They enter films without any contract. So, don't get proper wages. A payment of Rs 5000 was assured, but got only Rs 1500. Got this much after working for 30 days. Was excluded for talking against it.

Junior artists face slavery on location. There is no safe place even to change clothes. A production controller directly told me that he would get her an offer if adjusted with him. He showed pictures of some actresses who cooperated with him, said Asnia.

After the release of the Hema Committee report, leading actresses have come forward to speak openly about their bad experiences in films. Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra revealed the other day that a director misbehaved when she came to act in the movie 'Paleri Manikyam' directed by Ranjith. 'AMMA' executive member and actress Ansiba Hasan also narrated her bad experience.
