THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP’s stand is not what actor and Union Minister Suresh Gopi says, said party state president K Surendran. While talking to the media, Surendran said Mukesh should resign his MLA post like how director Ranjith and actor Siddique have resigned. He demanded the chief minister to seek the MLA’s resignation.
‘The chief minister should seek Mukesh’s resignation as allegations have been levelled against him. Suresh Gopi has his stand as an actor and a minister. But for us the party’ stand is vital and that is what the party leadership says. Mukesh should resign. Didn’t Ranjith and Siddique resign? Mukesh should also resign then. No conclave involving Mukesh will be held here.
Suresh Gopi's opinion is not underestimated. Why is the government protecting the privacy of the predators, there are so many good celebrities in the film industry. They too are now under suspicion. The chief minister should take action against the culprits. Even those who have done no wrong are held under suspicion by the government. The media is not to be blamed for this. The party is of the opinion that Mukesh should resign, said Surendran.
Suresh Gopi told the media that the court will decide on the Hema committee report. His response was when asked about the controversies levelled against the actors after the release of the Hema Committee report. Suresh Gopi said that such questions should be asked when he comes out from the meeting of AMMA association. Suresh Gopi has also lashed out at the media.
‘This is fodder for your media. You can make money with it, but you are subverting a major system. If the matter is in the court, the court will decide then. You are not only beating the goats and drinking blood, you are also diverting the mentality of a society go awry. The complaint is in the form of an allegation. Who are you talking to? Are you the court? The court will decide. I said what I had to say', said Suresh Gopi.
