KOCHI: Actress Asha Sarath has responded to the circulating rumors that actor Siddique misbehaved with her during the shooting of Drishyam, directed by Jeethu Joseph. In a Facebook post, Asha Sarath firmly denied these claims, stating that she has never experienced any inappropriate behavior or hurtful actions from Siddique.
"I am writing this note because I saw my name mentioned in relation to the issues currently under discussion in the cinema industry. I want to clarify the truth," Asha Sarath wrote. "A campaign was brought to my attention claiming that Mr. Siddique misbehaved with me during the shooting of Drishyam. Mr. Siddique is not only a good colleague of mine in the field of art but also a good friend. So far, I have never encountered any bad or hurtful word or action from him."
Asha Sarath urged those spreading these false rumours to stop, emphasizing the importance of truth and integrity within the Malayalam film industry. "It is my wish and hope that Malayalam cinema should grow as a big artistic family, setting an example for other nations. If something undesirable is happening or growing, it needs to be nipped in the bud. At the same time, we must expose those trying to exploit the situation by spreading such false propaganda."
She concluded her post with a call for justice against those spreading illegal and false information. Asha Sarath expressed her hope that anyone with artistic talent and inclination should be able to work in an environment of peace and happiness. She also called on the government and art lovers to work together to protect the integrity of the industry.
