THRISSUR: Minister of State Suresh Gopi assaulted media workers in Thrissur. When asked about the Hema Committee report, the Minister said that he was not in a position to respond and pushed away the media. After saying 'my way is my right', he angrily got into the car and left. Suresh Gopi pushed away a reporter of Media One.
Earlier, Suresh Gopi had spoken angrily to the media. Suresh Gopi said that the court will decide on the Hema committee report. His response was when asked about the controversies raised against actors after the release of the Hema Committee report. Suresh Gopi said that such questions should be asked when he comes out of AMMA. He also criticized the media.
'This is fodder for your media. You can make money with it, but you are subverting a major system. If the matter is in the court, the court will decide then. The complaint is in the form of an allegation. Who are you talking to? Are you the court? The court will decide. I said what I had to say', said Suresh Gopi.
Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran came forward to reject Suresh Gopi. He told the media that BJP's position is not what Suresh Gopi is saying. Surendran told the media that if Ranjith and Siddique have resigned, then Mukesh should resign as MLA. He also urged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to get Mukesh's resignation in writing.
