KOCHI: Young actor Navjith Narayanan has made serious allegations against a film director, accusing him of inappropriate behaviour during a meeting. Navjith claimed that the incident occurred at the director's flat in Kalur, where he had gone to discuss a potential role in a movie. According to Navjith, the director implied that he would need to "adjust" if he wanted a chance in the film industry, a term often used to suggest compromising situations.

Recalling the incident, Navjith said, "The misadventure happened when I was seeking a role in a movie. The director, who was constantly on his mobile phone, invited me to his flat in Kalur. During the meeting, he asked me, 'Navjith, do you know how the film industry works?' and then placed his hand on my thigh, asking, 'What would I gain by giving you a chance?'"

Navjith initially thought the director was referring to money, as he had heard female friends talk about such "adjustments" in the industry. "I told him I couldn’t bring a girl as he wanted, but that wasn’t what he meant. He then asked me what personal gain he would get from giving me a chance and proceeded to touch me inappropriately. When I asked him to remove his hand, he brushed it off, saying, 'These things are normal in the film industry.' I was shocked and felt a mix of fear and anger. When he touched me again, I hit him and left the flat," Navjith revealed.
