THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor-director Balachandra Menon's statement will be taken in the molestation case against actor Jayasurya. The actress had filed a complaint that sexual assault took place on the location of the film directed by Balachandra Menon. The Cantonment Police will record the confidential statement of the actress in the case. The police have submitted an application to the Thiruvananthapuram CJM Court as part of this.
A part of the film directed by Balachandra Menon in 2008, was shot in Secretariat. The actress complained that Jayasurya misbehaved with her here. The statements of all the crew who worked in connection with the filming of the movie in the Secretariat will be recorded.
A case has been registered against Jayasurya under non-bailable section. Jayasurya has been charged with sexual assault and insulting women. This is the first case to be registered among the seven complaints of the Kochi native actress. The statement of the actress was recorded yesterday by the Special Investigation Team. The case was registered against Jayasurya after this.
The actress has filed complaints against seven people in the film industry including Jayasurya. The complaints are against Mukesh MLA, Edavela Babu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Jayasurya, Congress leader Adv VS Chandrasekaran, Casting Director Vichu and Production Controller Noble.
