THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sexual harassment complaints were filed against many male actors by many including actresses and junior artists following the release of the Hema Committee report. Actress Sarada, a member of the committee, responded for the first time while the police was investigating the complaints. In her response to a private channel, Sarada asked everyone to leave the Hema Committee report and talk about the Wayanad tragedy.

She said sexual assault has always been in the film industry. Women did not reveal anything because of pride and fear during her time. However, the generation today are education and have the courage to speak up.

The actress said the revelations that surface now after the release of the report are just a show. I don’t remember the things written in the report five or six years ago. Hema madam is a very good person and if you ask her, she will give you all the information.

The government formed the committee chaired by Justice Hema on November 16 in 2017. Some parts of the pages of 233-page report have not been released. Meantime, the special team investigating the actor assault case has completed the collection of evidence in the Kochi office of AMMA and some flats. The team searched the office of AMMA at 10.30 am on Sunday. The inspection was in connection related to the case against Edavela Babu and Mukesh. The records when they were in charge were also collected. On Saturday night too, they had searched AMMA’s office.
