KOCHI: In a shocking development, a woman filed a complaint against Malayalam film star Nivin Pauly alleging him of sexual harassment. According to the complaint, the incident took place abroad and the woman was assaulted on the pretext of offering a role in cinema. Oonnukal police in Ernakulam registered a case in this regard.

The complaint first reached before Ernakulam rural SP and will soon be transferred to the SIT team. Nivin is the sixth accused in the case.

The complainant says that she was molested in Dubai last November. Producer AK Sunil is the second accused in this case. The rape took place in a hotel room in Dubai. It is reported that a young woman named Shreya is also included in the charge sheet. Basheer and Kuttan are also named in the charge sheet.

Most of the allegations that came in the aftermath of Hema committee report were incidents that happened almost a decade back. However, this case is an anomaly as it took place in November 2023. It is reported that the actor has been charged under section 376. In this case, the special investigation team will record a detailed statement from the woman. Shreya is the first accused in this case.
