KOCHI: More details of the woman's statement in the rape case involving actor Nivin Pauly are out. The complaint was filed against the six-member gang including Nivin Pauly and producer AK Sunil, a native of Neriamangalam. In the complaint, it is said that the woman was taken abroad under the pretext of offering a role in the movie but was put in captivity for six days inside the hotel room and tortured.
After convincing her about the movie role, Shreya took the complainant to Dubai. A group including Nivin Pauly was stationed in Dubai as part of a film shoot. The incident related to the case took place in November last year. Sections 376, 354 and 376D of the IPC have been charged against the accused.
The accused in the case are Shreya, AK Sunil, Binu, Basheer, Kuttan and Nivin Pauly. The statement given by the victim includes serious allegations including sexual torture and forced usage of certain drugs.
Although the woman made further disclosures, such details have been put on hold due to the confidential nature of the case. It is alleged that another gang physically assaulted the victim four months back, but the police failed to register a case despite taking the statement.
