NEDUMBASSERY: Chengamanad police have registered a case against actor Alencier, following a statement made by a young actress to the Hema Committee, in which she accused him of sexually assaulting her. The incident reportedly occurred in 2017, while shooting the movie 'Aabhaasam' at a hotel in the Madiwala area of Bengaluru.

The actress, a native of Chengamanad, alleged that Alencier misbehaved with her during the shoot. Despite filing a complaint in 2018, she claimed that the AMMA has yet to take any action against Alencier. "Alencier misbehaved with me on the sets of Aabhaasam. I filed a complaint in 2018 and later brought it to the attention of Idavela Babu, but the response I received was that 'Alencier has apologized,'" the actress stated. She further revealed that AMMA has not issued an official response regarding her complaint.

The actress emphasized the need for AMMA to ensure the safety of women in the workplace. "Six years later, as the complainant, my opportunities in films have dwindled. Meanwhile, Alencier has faced no significant consequences and continues to work actively in the industry," she said. She also criticized AMMA's handling of the situation, suggesting that their compromise emboldened Alencier, who recently made misogynistic remarks even at the state award ceremony.
