NEW DELHI: In a significant achievement, Kerala has emerged as the best business-friendly state in the country, securing the first position in the Ease of Doing Business Ranking 2022 under the Business Reforms Action Plan of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Industries Minister P. Rajeev received the award on behalf of Kerala from Union Minister Piyush Goyal at the meeting of industrial ministers held in Delhi yesterday. Andhra Pradesh secured the second position, while Gujarat secured the third position.

Kerala achieved the feat by securing top positions in nine categories, including industrial and citizen service reforms, and an online single window system. The state scored over 95 per cent marks in these categories. The ranking was determined based on the feedback from entrepreneurs.
