KASARGOD: The suicide note of the youth, who committed suicide near the Kavumchira old port, has surfaced. A fisherman identified as K V Prakash (35) was found hanging. His suicide note said that a woman filed a complaint and that she demanded Rs 2.5 lakh to withdraw the case.

Prakash was found hanging on Friday morning at an old building near Kadangode Jaihind Library. Rajendran, brother-in-law of Prakash, said that he took the drastic step depressed over the woman’s fake complaint filed at the Chandera Police.


Rajendran alleged that on the eve of the death of Prakash, two people approached him with the proposal to settle the case and demanded Rs 2 lakh. Rajendran then mentioned all these things and lodged a complaint with the police.


After receiving Rajendran's complaint, sub inspector Sathish Varma and his team searched Prakash's room and the place where he committed suicide. Meanwhile, the suicide note was found. The police informed that the statement of the woman accused in the incident will be taken. It is not clear why the woman filed a complaint against Prakash.
