MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Malaika Arora’s father Anil Arora committed suicide on Wednesday. He jumped from his apartment building in Bandra this morning at 9 am. He was 62. Unconfirmed reports said that he was under depression for quite some time. More information has not been disclosed.

Anil Arora, a Punjabi was in the Indian Merchant Navy and he married Joyce Polycarp, a Malayali Christian. Malaika was born in 1973 and Amrita Arora in 1981. The couple got separated when Malaika was just 11 years old.

Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan was the first to reach the building. Malaika’s friends have also arrived. The body has been taken to the hospital for post mortem.
