TEL AVIV: Israel targeted the annihilation of the Hezbollah group through a series of pager and walkie-talkie explosions. Israel has flawlessly implemented the crooked tactic that experts have worked on for years in their war rooms. Israel already had a reputation for being capable of carrying out sophisticated covert attacks. It has been consolidated through the current series of attacks.
Many international media are reporting that Israel is now using intimidation against Hezbollah. Hezbollah used the pager as a means of communication because of the threat of an Israeli attack. Not only Hezbollah operatives but also their associates were allowed to use mobile phones or smart phones. Mobile phones are Israeli agents. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah called on his followers to bury them in last February.
After abandoning mobile phones, Hezbollah used pagers to communicate. Following the series of blasts, Hezbollah members are now reportedly afraid to even look at pagers. With this, the communication between the members of Hezbollah has almost ceased, according to the report. Hezbollah is unclear about the extent to which Israel has infiltrated its communications network.
Such was the opportunity Israel wanted. They reckon that Hezbollah will be reluctant to carry out large-scale operations, including against them, with their communication capabilities compromised. Moreover, the distribution of funds and weapons will also be disrupted. In short, Hezbollah's threat may not end completely, but may be marginally reduced.
Preparations started in 2022
The reports that came in last said that the Hungarian organization that supplied the pagers to Hezbollah was set up by Israeli intelligence agents. The men who worked there were either Israeli spies or their agents. The firm was listed as a limited liability company in Hungary in May 2022. It was only after winning the trust of Hezbollah that they started distributing pagers to them. The pagers were distributed to serve as part of the emergency communications system in the event of a conflict with Israel. Hungary was already skeptical about the company's operations. No manufacturing of pagers was done here. Reports said the company was working only as an intermediary.
