CHENNAI: Visuals of India captain Rohit Sharma expressing his displeasure over Virat Kohli's decision in the second Test against Bangladesh are getting attention. Kohli's dismissal in India's second innings of the match had left the Indian captain disappointed. Virat was trapped in front of the wicket by Bangladesh spinner Mehdi Hasan Miraz. Despite having the opportunity to take a review, Kohli didn't do it. Kohli's decision came after asking Gill, who was on the non-striker end.
However, skipper Rohit Sharma was disappointed when replays revealed that the ball hit the pads after hitting his bat. Kohli, who scored six runs in the first innings, was dismissed for 17 in the second innings. Bangladesh batted only 47.1 overs after not being able to hold on to India's bowling attack. Shakib Al Hasan top-scored for them with 32 runs.
India, who had taken a lead of 227 runs, did not ask Bangladesh to follow-on. The hosts were 81 for the loss of three wickets on the second day. With three days' of play remaining, India have a strong lead of 308 runs. Shubman Gill (33*) and Rishabh Pant (12*) are at the crease. India lost the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal (10), Rohit Sharma (5) and Virat Kohli (17) in the second innings.
