KOCHI: Perayil house, the residence of Anna Sebastian, who collapsed and died due to excessive workload at Ernst and Young (EY) company in Pune, is now in mourning.
Anna's mother Anita's tears have not stopped. She has not returned to normal life since her daughter's death. Anitha, who was an SBI manager, took VRS when she was transferred out of Kerala. Only Anitha, her husband Sibi and Anitha's mother are home now.
The marriage of their elder son Arun Augustine, an architect, was scheduled for December. Anna's father Sibi Joseph told Kerala Kaumudi that she passed shocking everyone when her marriage proposals were going on.
This is the house where Anna grew up. Anna's memories are not fading from this house. She studied at Rajagiri School, Thevara SH College and Logic Institute in Ernakulam. Anna passed CA with distinction in her second chance. Despite getting a job in IRMA in Gujarat, Anna didn't join. She continued her miserable job at the most well-known auditing company in the world, dreaming of a great career.
Arun is an employee of LEA Associate South Asia Company in Bengaluru. He is currently there for the Templecity project in Haridwar.
Anna had returned home twice after joining work in March. Anna died on July 20. The body, which was brought to Pune after post-mortem, was buried at St Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Thevakkal in Kakkanad on 23rd.
Foundation in Anna's name
Siby Joseph said chairman Rajiv Memani has informed that EY India will start a foundation to provide education to ten children a year in memory of Anna. Anna's death became a topic of discussion in the country after a letter sent by Anita to Memani was leaked. Memani has informed that he will visit Anna's house. EY senior manager Rohit Jain, HR manager Shruthi, partners who are Kottayam natives and another person had visited the family on Wednesday.
