THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday stood firm on his stance of protecting his Political Secretary P Sasi and ADGP MR Ajith Kumar as he reiterated at a press conference that they won't be removed from their respective posts. This announcement comes amidst intensifying political pressure from CPI. The CM also outrightly rejected LDF's PV Anvar MLA who raised allegations against Sasi and Ajith Kumar.

The Chief Minister rejected the CPI's demand to remove ADGP MR Ajith Kumar from law and order duty in the name of the allegations of his meeting with RSS leaders. The Chief Minister made it clear that no one will be removed from their position based solely on accusations, regardless of who makes the demand. He said that an investigation will be carried out into the allegations and proper action will be taken after receiving the report.

Meanwhile, Anvar said in a press conference that he would continue his fight against corrupt people. He also alleged that P Sasi was involved in gold smuggling. Meanwhile, the ADGP submitted the investigation report on the Thrissur Pooram disruption controversy on Saturday night.

"P Sasi is performing in an exemplary manner in my office as per the party's directive. There has been no wrongdoing on his part. I'll reject any false allegations with contempt, regardless of who makes them. No investigation is needed into the matter," the CM said.

"We don't have the practice of deploying police for political discussions of any kind. If any officer had met a political or organizational leader in such a way that affected their official duties, appropriate action would be taken as per the rules. An investigation is underway regarding the serious allegations against Ajith Kumar. Once the report is received, a suitable decision will be made," the CM said.

"PV Anvar is not a person with a Left background. He is a person who came to the Left Front from the Congress. An effort is being made to protect the interest of gold smugglers and destroy the morale of the police. I have sent a letter to the Governor seeking an inquiry about Anvar. If Anwar had the awareness that he was a communist MLA, he should have brought the issue to the attention of the party and me, the Chief Minister," the CM added.
