KOCHI: Daughter of late senior CPM leader M M Lawrence criticized her father's last farewell as a fraud. Asha Lawrence was reacting to the announcement that her father’s body would be handed over to the Ernakulam Medical College after the public viewing. Her response was through Facebook. She clarified that her father had nowhere said that his body should be handed over to the medical college after death.

Asha blamed the comrades for isolating her father when he said in the central committee that religions, the belief in God, and devotees of God are being alienated from the people in India.
