CHENNAI: India won the fourth day of the India-Bangladesh Test series as part of the World Test Championship. India crushed Bangladesh by 280 runs. Bangladesh, who came out with a target of 515 runs to win in Chepauk, were all out for 234 runs. R Ashwin took six wickets for India.
Chasing a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh entered the second innings at 158/4 when play was stopped early on the third day yesterday due to lack of light. Bangladesh lost the remaining six wickets while adding 76 runs.
Rishabh Pant (109), who celebrated his return to Test cricket after a year and a half with a century, and Shubman Gill (119 not out), who returned to form, declared India at 287/4 in the second innings.
