THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A teacher of a driving school has been arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a woman and attempting to molest her. The incident took place at Maranalloor in Thiruvananthapuram. The arrested has been identified as A Suresh Kumar (50), a native of Ooruttambalam. According to the police, the assault attempt took place during driving training. The crime took place last Wednesday.

While giving driving training, Suresh Kumar started misbehaving with the woman. Sensing the danger, the woman stopped the car on the roadside and fled. Seeing this, the locals rushed to the car. The scared driving school teacher tried to escape from the spot with the car, but was stopped by the locals who followed him and caught him.

The locals then informed the police. The locals dispersed after handing over the accused to the Maranalloor police who reached the spot. The police have registered a case of attempt to rape against A Suresh Kumar of Kaveri Sadanam in Perumuloor Plavarathala in Ooruttambalam. He was later produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
