MUMBAI: The 'BookMyShow' website and app crashed just before the sale of tickets for the concert of renowned British rock band 'Coldplay' in India began. The sale of tickets was supposed to start at 12 noon. However, the sale of tickets started only after 12.18 pm. Just before the start of the sale, the number of tickets that could be issued to a person was reduced from eight to four.
Fans came for the booking in large numbers which caused the crash. The event will be held on January 18 and 19, 2025, at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The Coldplay concert in India is part of the band's 'Music Of The Spheres World Tour'. The price of a ticket ranges from Rs 2,500 to Rs 35,000. The 'Music of the Spheres World Tour' has sold over 10 million tickets worldwide since its launch in March 2022. The upcoming shows of the band are in Abu Dhabi, Seoul, and Hong Kong. Coldplay's last show in India was in 2016 at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.
