NEW YORK: Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his speech by saying 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' to the Indian diaspora of America. On the second day of his visit to the US, Modi addressed the Indian Diaspora at an event held at the Nassau Coliseum Stadium in Long Island, New York. The Prime Minister said that expatriates are the brand ambassadors of India and the face of India. He opined that the diaspora has become a strong bridge to India-US relations.

"You are the ones who came here across the seven seas but love for India cannot be removed from your heart or soul," Modi said. He emphasized that wherever we go in the world, the feeling of India unites us. "Each of us comes from a country, rich in different languages. India is the home of all faiths and religions of the world. We are moving forward with unity," the Prime Minister mentioned in his speech.

"Our values and culture unite us," Modi added. He expressed gratitude to the diaspora for the respect India has earned in various countries. The Prime Minister's visit to America began on September 21. He received a grand welcome at Nassau Coliseum, an indoor stadium on Long Island when he attended the program 'Modi and US.' More than 15,000 people from 42 states participated, and over 500 artists performed.
