ABU DHABI: A labour card is mandatory for all those working in the UAE. This card is issued to the workers by the Ministry of Human Resource Emiratisation (MOHRE). This card is an official document of having a job. It can also be used as an identification document.

This labour card contains all important information like what your job is, which company you work for and the duration of your work permit. It is illegal for one to work in the UAE without a valid labour card. This card not only ensures compliance with labour laws but also ensures job security.

One must keep a copy of this online even if the employing organizations do not issue these in card form. You can also download and take a printout. Let's see how to download your labour card.

-Visit MOHRE's official website, mohre.gov.ae.

-Click on 'Services' at the top.

-Click 'New Inquiry Services'

-You will be redirected to another page https://inquiry.mohre.gov.ae/.

-Click on the 'Choose a Service' option and select 'Print Electronic Work Permit'.

-Enter your work permit number, transaction number, personal code and date of birth in it and hit the search button. You will receive your labour card. You can take a screenshot or download it for further use.
