ANGOLA: A crucial discovery was made during the search for Arjun, a native of Kozhikode, who went missing in a landslide in Shirur. According to reports, the bumper of the lorry driven by Arjun was found during the search conducted with a dredger in the area marked by the Navy in the Gangavali river. Manaf, the vehicle owner, also confirmed that it was the bumper of his lorry.

Apart from the bumper, a bag was recovered but it was not Arjun's, family members say. Manaf informed that the authorities have been called to identify the part of the lorry found. 'Part of our lorry has been found. It is the rear bumper. It was said to search there from the beginning, what can we do if they don't search? ' said Manaf.

A landslide occurred at Shirur near Angola on July 16 at around 8.30 am. The mission was hampered several times by adverse weather conditions. The search for Arjun was called off on August 17. The problem was who would pay a crore of rupees for the search with a dredger. Arjun's family later met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. With this, the search resumed. The dredger rent is paid by the Government of Karnataka. Last day, a bone was found in the Gangavali river. It was sent for further testing.
