KOZHIKODE: A YouTuber, who was absconding after sexually abusing a woman whom he met on social media, has been arrested. A team led by Chevayur inspector Sajeev stopped the vehicle of Fais Morool of Morikkara at Kakkodi in Kozhikode, and arrested him.

The case is that he sexually abused the woman three months ago. The police were in search of Morool, who fled soon after the incident. The accused who has been using more than 13 mobile phone numbers was hiding in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam.

The police on checking his tower location found that he had reached Feroke yesterday. Police arrived but could not find him. On knowing that the police had arrived at Palayam and the railway station, the accused boarded a night bus to Ernakulam from KSRTC bus stand. The police followed the bus and stopped the vehicle at the Malappuram border and arrested him. He was brought to Chevayur station in the morning and his arrest was registered.
