SHIRUR: The result of the examination of the bone found in the Gangavali River on Sunday is out. District Collector Lakshmi Priya informed that the FSL Lab in Mangalore confirmed the bone to be of a cow and not human. The collector also called out the misinformation spread through media outlets, claiming the bone to be of humans.

Many hoped the bone found from the river on Sunday to be crucial evidence in the mission to find missing truck driver Arjun. Although the bone looked similar to that of humans, Police sent it to a lab for detailed testing and then came the result breaking many myths purported through media outlets.

On Monday, a crucial discovery was made during the search for Arjun, a native of Kozhikode, who went missing in a landslide in Shirur. According to reports, the bumper of the lorry driven by Arjun was found during the search conducted with a dredger in the area marked by the Navy in the Gangavali River. Manaf, the vehicle owner, also confirmed that it was the bumper of his lorry.

Apart from the bumper, a bag was recovered but it was not Arjun's, family members say. Manaf informed that the authorities have been called to identify the part of the lorry found. 'Part of our lorry has been found. It is the rear bumper. It was said to search there from the beginning, what can we do if they don't search? ' said Manaf.
