SHIRUR: A crucial finding has been made in the search for the three persons, including Kozhikode native Arjun, who went missing during the landslide on the Shirur national highway. A metal part of the lorry driven by Arjun was found during the search on Monday. The recovered part is an iron rod located below the rear door of the lorry. The lorry's RC owner, Mubeen, has identified the metal part. This is the first time a part of Arjun's lorry has been found after months of search operations.

The recovered part is a red and white painted section located below the rear door of the lorry. Lorry owner Mubeen identified the metal part by going to the dredger. The part was found near the spot marked by the Navy.

The acacia wood logs and rope in the lorry were found earlier. According to Karwar MLA Satish Sail, the search operation for Arjun's lorry will resume on Tuesday.
