WAYANAD: A house for Shruthi, who lost her dear ones in the Wayanad landslide and her fiancé in an accident. MLA T Siddique hands over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh given by industrialist Bobby Chemmanur. The MLA said that he would raise the demand of a government job for Shruthi.

The landslide struck when the house warming function of her new house in Chooralmala was conducted and when she was all set to enter wedlock. She lost her parents and sister. Her house was completely destroyed. She got help when she was hospitalized after the accident. Bobby Chemmanur promised to build her a house a per the wish of Jenson. He handed over the money to the MLA to build the house in Kalpetta as per her wish.

She needs a job to take her life forward. She cannot continue to work in the private hospital in Kozhikode in her present situation. Therefore, efforts are being made to get her a government job, said T Siddique.

Shruti lost nine of her family members in the landslide. Jensen also died in a car accident. Shruti, who fractured both her legs in the accident, is now staying with her relative in Kalpetta. She was subjected to a surgery in one of her legs. She needs a surgery in the other leg also. Therefore, Shruti can return to normalcy only after months of rest.
