KOCHI: There is no information about actor Siddique, who went into hiding after the High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea in the actress molestation case. He is not in both his houses in Kochi. Mobile numbers are also switched off. Siddique is trying to file a petition in the Supreme Court. It is reported that Siddique's son visited the legal firm Raman Pillai Associates. It is learned that the petition will be filed in the Supreme Court tomorrow. The house in Aluva is locked. The actor's house in Padamughal is under police surveillance. The police have received information that the last time the mobile was used was in Palarivattom.

The police have issued a lookout circular at airports considering the possibility of the actor going abroad. The police said there was no obstacle to the actor's arrest. The crime branch chief directed the Kochi police to arrest him immediately. It was the investigation following this that revealed that the actor had gone into hiding.

Siddique's anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the single bench of the high court headed by Justice CS Dias. The investigating team had obtained more strong evidences and witness statements that put Siddique in a crisis in the sexual assault case. The investigating team told the court that the allegations and statements made by the actress were substantiated.

The court had earlier heard arguments on the anticipatory bail plea but postponed the verdict. Senior advocate B Raman Pillai, appearing for the petitioner, argued that the complainant had not raised rape earlier and that the complaint was baseless. It is alleged that the incident took place in 2012. Siddique alleged that the complainant had narrated a meticulously prepared story.

However, additional public prosecutor P Narayanan, appearing for the government, argued in the court that Siddique was hiding many facts and there was evidence that the two had reached the Mascot hotel. The court came down heavily on Siddique's remarks that the complainant had no credibility and was making allegations against many others.
