THRISSUR: CPI leader VS Sunil Kumar said that the people need to know if someone had used the Thrissur Pooram to achieve political gain. He said that an investigation should be conducted into the disruption of Thrissur Pooram this year and that clarity on this should be obtained by the time of Thrissur Pooram next year.

"Thrissur Pooram was used for the victory of the NDA candidate in Thrissur. People need to know those who worked behind that. I am not blaming the Devaswom Board. They are the ones who come to conduct the Pooram. It's a public arrangement. The Devaswom Board officials are those who strive to conduct matters related to the faith of the people. Who decided to stop the ceremonies? What was the reason behind it? Some people arrived there in an ambulance while all those issues were taking place," Sunil Kumar said.

"The issue has become a hot topic of discussion across Kerala. Everyone is now blaming the Left. The issue isn't about political wins or losses. We need to investigate who exploited Thrissur Pooram. Minister K Rajan and I are in touch, discussing and intervening in matters. The arrival of the NDA candidate in an ambulance must be probed. I want to know if anyone has achieved political gain by disrupting Thrissur Pooram. All I have to say is that a decision should be made promptly on this issue. I will proceed after discussing with the party," Sunil Kumar added.
