ALUVA: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that some of those holding constitutional responsibilities are turning into hate propagandists. He was inaugurating the seminar organized by the EMS Study Center at Advaita Ashram, Aluva, as part of the 100th anniversary of Sarvamatha Sammelanam(All Religion Conference).
"The Sarvamatha Sammelanam organized by Sree Narayana Guru in Aluva 100 years ago is the antidote to the riots taking place around the world in the name of religion and race. As Guru pointed out, if we recognize that the essence of all religions is one, there will be no riots," the CM said.
"Sree Narayana Guru consecrated a Shiva idol in Aruvippuram at a time when humanity was plagued by mutual animosity and discord. Sree Narayana Guru was a spiritual leader who fought against caste discrimination. However, some people are deliberately trying to portray Gurudeva as a Hindu saint," he added.
Study Center chairman CN Mohanan presided over the function. - Prof MK Sanu, Dr Gabriel Mar Gregorios, Metropolitan, Swami Dharmachaitanya, Dr Fasal Gafoor and Dr Dharmaraj Adat spoke at the function.
Sivagiri Mutt should lead in propagating Guru's message
Chief Minister said that Sivagiri Mutt should lead in propagating Guru's message effectively. "Some people are deliberately trying to create changes in society. Understanding this, Guru's message should be propagated to prevent it. I had discussed this with Swami Satchidananda and Swami Shubhangananda at Chempazhanthy on Chathayam day," he said.
