THRISSUR: A new organization, ‘Motta Global’, founded just a month ago, is capturing attention worldwide. What began in the South Tower of Thekkinkad Maidan with a small group has now grown into an international movement with a mission to address socially responsible issues.

The group's debut on the world stage came during the famous ‘Pulikali’ festival in Thrissur, where 100 of its members made a striking appearance. Bald men, dressed in black and red shirts, sporting sunglasses, turned heads and generated buzz. Since that day, ‘Motta Global’ has expanded to 515 members, with representatives from 20 different countries.

But ‘Motta Global’ is not just seeking fame. The organization’s core mission is to leverage its visibility to address pressing social issues. Their latest campaign, titled ‘Stop Body Shaming’, is set to launch on October 2 and will run until October 10. This campaign aims to raise awareness about discrimination based on physical appearance, skin tone and other differences.

The event will primarily take place online, with a virtual meetup connecting people from 20 countries to stand in solidarity. The campaign will feature a diverse array of participants, including celebrities, cartoonists and artists, all rallying to promote body positivity and inclusivity.
