BENGALURU: The body in the lorry taken from the Gangavali river at Shirur in Karnataka is that of Arjun of Kannadikkal in Kozhikode. This was confirmed through a DNA test. In the wake of DNA results, the procedures to take the body home will start soon. Arjun’s brother-in-law Jithin informed that there are only technical procedures left and believe that the body can be brought home by tomorrow morning.
An officer of CI rank of the Karnataka Police has been entrusted the charge of security for the ambulance carrying the body of Arjun. Karwar MLA Satish Sale will accompany the ambulance. Karwar SP M Narayana will also accompany the body if permission is received from the chief minister's office.
All arrangements including ambulance to carry the body of Arjun and mobile freezer are ready for the journey to Kerala. The pyre is prepared near the house.
