KOCHI: Famous film serial star and director Mahesh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. Mahesh received his membership from BJP state president K Surendran in connection with the membership drive.

At the function held in Ernakulam, BJP state spokesperson Adv. Narayanan Namboothiri. Adv. TP Sindhumol, District President Adv. K.S. Shaiju, Minority Front State President GG Joseph, and BJP District General Secretaries S. Saji were present.

Just a month back, prominent music director Mohan Sithara joined BJP in Thrissur. This will be the second famous induction into the party in Kerala during the campaign drive.

Mahesh has acted in classic movies like ‘Mrugaya’ and ‘Sadayam Vyooham’. He also directed a Malayalam movie in 2008 ‘Calendar’, with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Zarina Wahab and Navya Nair in the lead.
