THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker AN Shamseer stated in a press conference that no questions have been deliberately omitted in the Assembly. He acknowledged receiving a complaint from the Leader of the Opposition regarding the matter.

"Not all questions can be raised inside the Assembly. I don't believe the Leader of the Opposition has the opinion that starred questions are being intentionally omitted," Shamseer said.

He also said that he does not think that the Chief Minister was deliberately targeting any particular district or religious group.

The Legislative Assembly session will begin today and conclude on the 18th. The session will adjourn today after paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the natural disasters in Wayanad and Kozhikode districts. Of the remaining eight days, six will be allocated for government matters, and two days will be set aside for non-official business.

The debates held in the Constituent Assembly from December 9, 1946, to May 2, 1947, spanning 21 days, have been translated under the leadership of former Legislative Assembly Secretary Dr. N.K. Jayakumar. The translation will be released on the upcoming Republic Day. The third edition of the Legislative Assembly International Book Festival will be held in the first week of January.

Change of seat for Anvar; Speaker receives letter
Parliamentary Party Secretary TP Ramakrishnan has sent a letter requesting that PV Anvar's seat in the Legislative Assembly be changed from the CPM block. When the journalists pointed out Anvar's remark that he would sit on the floor if he did not get a seat, the speaker replied that there is no need for the MLA to sit on the floor as there are seats for 250 people in the House.
