MUMBAI: In a tragic incident, seven members of a family lost their lives in a house fire caused by a short circuit in Chembur, Mumbai. The fire broke out at around 5:30 am today while the family was asleep, leaving them with no time to escape.
The deceased have been identified as Paris Gupta, Narendra Gupta, Manju Prem Gupta, Anita Gupta, Prem Gupta, Vidhi Gupta and Geeta Gupta. Local residents noticed the fire and promptly alerted the authorities. Emergency services rushed the injured to Rajawadi Hospital but unfortunately, all seven victims were declared dead on arrival.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire originated from an electrical shop located on the first floor of the building, with the short circuit believed to have sparked the deadly blaze. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause.
