KILIMANOOR: Two men, who were friends, were killed after their bike rammed into the back of a parked mini-lorry. The deceased have been identified as Ranju (36) of Kunnil house in Ozhukupara, Pulimath and Ani (40) of Pezhuvila house in Kamukinkuzhi.

The accident took place at Pulimath on the state highway early this morning. The bike coming from Karette side hit the back of the mini lorry, which was parked on the roadside after its battery broke down while on its way to Perumbavoor with the plastic of Haritha Karma Sena from Thiruvananthapuram.

Both the injured were rushed to the medical college hospital but could not be saved. Ranju is a garden keeper at Kazhakoottam Sainik school. His wife is Athira and son is Arnav.
Ani is a rubber-tapping worker. Wife: Geetha (Harithakarma Sena member, Pulimath Panchayat). Children: Anandu and Anu.
