Bollywood actress Ananya Panday recently shared her personal experience of overcoming a breakup, revealing a unique method she used to cope with the pain. While promoting her upcoming film ‘CTRL’, Ananya spoke about burning a photo of her ex-boyfriend as part of her healing process.

"After the breakup, I put all the things that reminded me of him into a box, which I called my 'X Box' and burned them together," she said, adding that it was a therapeutic way for her to move past the disappointment. "I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this; many people do. It’s a good way to let go of the hurt."

In addition to discussing her personal life, Ananya also opened up about her struggles with imposter syndrome. She explained how, at times, she feels disconnected from her own identity, particularly during interviews.

"Imposter syndrome kicks in as soon as someone says my name," Ananya admitted. "There have been many moments during interviews when it felt like my name didn’t really belong to me—it felt like I was watching someone else. I’ve even felt this while watching my own films. I see myself on the screen but forget that it's actually me up there."

Ananya Panday is the daughter of veteran actor Chunky Panday and celebrity costume designer Bhavana Panday. She made her Bollywood debut with ‘Student of the Year 2’, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Newcomer. Since then, Ananya has become one of Bollywood’s most popular young actresses.
