KOTTAYAM: A 70-year-old man named Raju was stabbed to death by his son. The accused, Ashokan (42), who is reportedly addicted to alcohol, was arrested by a police team led by Kottayam Gandhinagar SHO, Inspector T Sreejith.

The murder took place around 11.45 am today. Only Raju and Ashokan lived in the house. Ashokan was addicted to alcohol. It is reported that the dispute related to this resulted in murder. During the argument, Ashokan stabbed Raju with a knife. After hearing the commotion from the house, the locals rushed to inform the police. Then the police reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital. Ashokan has been taken into custody and is being interrogated.
